Recently a fun scientific blog was published that fits in very well with Viruskenner and which we would like to share with you. It is an English blog by Peter Piot (the Belgian microbiologist who co-discovered ebola, was head of UNAIDS and is now director of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine). He confirms how important innovation is in prevention of infectious diseases to reach people. Not only in the form of vaccines and apps, but also in the transfer of information (as an example he mentions an African woman who makes music and dance to teach the Guinea community about prevention of worm infections).
